It’s Book day, busting out all over! Of course, today is US launch day* for my own Shattered Pillars, second in the Eternal Sky trilogy. Shattered Pillars is a novel of crumblimg empire, necromancy, Rukhs, Djinni, ghulim, Wizards, tiger-warriors, martial monks, and magic ponies set in a fantasy realm inspired by the cultures, sweep, and [...]
Shattered Pillars is out tomorrow in the US! (Probably already available today in many fine bookstores, because it’s not a hard on-sale date.) Book Two of the Eternal Sky trilogy continues the story of Re Temur, exiled heir to his grandfather’s Khaganate, and the Wizard Samarkar, Once-Princess of the Rasan Empire, as they struggle to [...]
I mentioned this briefly in the last post, and I think I’ll mention it again, because I could not be more thrilled: Scott’s handed in the final revisions on The Republic of Thieves, and its publication date is set for October 10th 2013 in the UK and October 8th 2013 in the US. I know [...]

A certain amount of excitement prevails in Bearland today, as I have the cover and preorder info for Book of Iron, an Eternal Sky novella starring Bijou, of Bone & Jewel Creatures fame. It will be out from Subterranean Press in September, and preorders are available here. Book of Iron concerns itself with what happens [...]
Writing Steles of the Sky has been eating my life, to the detriment of blogging anything. However, there’s a bit of news, and so I am here to at least catch you up, if not be conversational. Maybe in April. 0.0 ITEM: Range of Ghosts is out in trade paperback today! And, of course, the [...]
My first run back in hill country this morning. Wisconsin, I miss you. Martha’s Vineyard, you too. Oh, the flatness. Only did about 3 miles, and I’m wheezing. Still, it was amazingly beautiful out–peak color is past here in Central Massachusetts, just about hitting its gorgeousness in my old stomping grounds of central Connecticut, but [...]
…just what it says on the box. The book is called One-Eyed Jack and the Suicide King, and my editor for this project is Paula Guran. It’s the fifth in the series, but it absolutely works as a stand-alone novel. I’m so psyched.
