I’m plugging away at Shattered Pillars (just got through a botched execution, and am on to an ironic death) and I’m pleased to share the news that The Sea Thy Mistress has been nominated as a science fiction novel for the Romantic Times Award.

(I didn’t win that World Fantasy Award, alas, but I got beaten by Liz Hand, which is kind of like getting thumped by Sonny Liston: no shame in that at all.)

And here’s a photo out my office window before I snuff some poor secondary character in a really memorable fashion.
