2009 March 2
The first episode of season 2 of Shadow Unit is live! Go, check it out, hang out on the message boards, browse the Wiki, meet the characters! Also, I updated the New Amsterdam page with some Seven for a Secret reviews.
2009 February 7
The online fiction page is updated with new free fiction, "Sonny Liston Takes The Fall," which I think is one of my best short stories, if not the best one.
2009 February 3
The online fiction page is updated with new free fiction (clicky on the dirigible and vampire third down on your left). Another story should be along shortly. The poetry page and novel and short story bibliographies are also up to date, and so is the translations page. I also added two more reviews to the Edda of Burdens page. We're working on adding a Paypal tip jar button, since pirated versions of my novels are showing up on torrent and it only seems right to give folks a chance to amend their karma a little.
2008 October 28
Updates are finished, and I think all the fires have been extinguished. To celebrate the forthcoming Seven For a Secret, New Amsterdam now has its own page. Clicky on the top thumbnail in the lefthand menu for all its glory.
2008 September 25
To celebrate its imminent release into the world, the first three chapters of All The Windwracked Stars are now available here.
2008 September 19
Stuff and things! New fiction is available online--a PDF of "Boojum" (with Sarah Monette), as well as a plug of the Fast Ships, Black Sails anthology is here, and "Shoggoths In Bloom" is here. All The Windwracked Stars received a starred review in Publishers Weekly, the text of which is now on the Eddas page. And the Contact page now has a snail mail address, if you want to send Bear tea first-born children or embarrassing fan art.
2008 August 15
A belated update from a distracted webghoul: "Tideline" won the Hugo for best short story!
2008 July 31
Cover art for Chill is now up on the Jacob's Ladder page. Also, the Foreign Pubications section of the bibliography now has content.
2008 July 8
Ink & Steel is published! And in equally cool news, David Moles and I are sharing this year's Sturgeon Award for short fiction, which is kind of a big nifty deal.
2008 June 3
Act I, scene iii of Ink and Steel has arrived. And the mass market paperback of Blood and Iron has arrived in fine bookstores near you.
2008 May 18
At last, Act I, scene ii of Ink and Steel!
2008 April 24
Act I, scene i of Ink and Steel is now up here. Several new stories and podcasts are also linked on the short fiction page, and the bibliography has been updated with the latest award nominations.
2008 April 20
At last, the sneak peak of Ink and Steel is up! The webghoul is only lazy north-northwest. The prologue is here, and more of Act I will follow shortly.
2008 March 19
More new online fiction ("The Rest of Your Life in a Day" and "Cryptic Coloration") added to the short fiction page.
Coming soon, a sneak peak at the forthcoming Ink and Steel! Watch this space.
2008 February 1
New online fiction ("The Chains That You Refuse," 2004) added to the short fiction page. (Link over there on the left.) Publication news includes a new short story, "Annie Webber," in today's Nature.
2008 January 12
I updated the bibliography page again. So exciting.
2008 January 9
I have been busy! And bad about updating. First of all, Ink & Steel and Hell & Earth have been accepted, and I've gone over the copy-edits for the first one. Also, Undertow has been nominated for the P.K. Dick Award (along with many other fine books.)
But moreover, the Secrit Projekt is Secrit no longer. And if you look off over to the left there, you will see an image linked to something called www.shadowunit.org. It's a hyperfiction, or maybe metafiction, project that I'm involved with along with writers Sarah Monette, Will Shetterly, and Emma Bull (Emma is the evil mastermind behind it all), and web designer and artist Amanda Downum. Go look. Poke around a little. The site has secrets, for now, though more of them will be revealed shortly and further content updates will be happening fast. Check back often! We think it's going to be a lot of fun.

2007 December 3
Because there's no way to make it rain like washing your car, the Booklist review for Dust came in, so I have updated the Jacob's Ladder page. And also updated the Bibliography page, which is now all current and stuff for a change.
2007 December 2
I've updated the links below with the dates for Viable Paradise 2008, updated links on the bibliography page, and added the Publishers Weekly review of Dust to the Jacob's Ladder page.
In non-web-site-maintenance-related news, I've also sold an 850-word short short called "Annie Webber" to Nature, delivered Ink & Steel, and probably some other stuff I've forgotten. I've also turned in what I hope will be the final draft of Hell & Earth, and am waiting to hear back from Jessica Wade, my Roc editor, on same.
Also, my short story "Hobnoblin Blues" has been published in the latest Realms of Fantasy, complete with some amazing art by Dave Leri. Through his generousity, you may see his image, entitled "Low Key Loki," here. For some incomprehensible reason, he's not outrageously famous yet, but I can't imagine it will be long.
2007 November 9
I've updated my appearances for 2008. Comic-Con is still tentative, and dependent of finding crash space/room-mates/whatever for the con. Man boy howdy, I am glad I'm not planning on doing any work between April and August of next year...
2007 November 1
I've added the Booklist review of Undertow to the Standalone SF page.
